As I was only able to present a rough idea and some sketches in advance, lots of freedom and trust was given by Theater Kikker by allowing me to make this 15 sec short film: "It's gonna be great, with this dark cardboard city and actual lights flying around!" Luckily, they were very happy with the result. 

Building the set and filming it in stop-motion took a little over a month, and the final film was printed on 35mm to be shown in cinemas throughout Utrecht. In 2011, the set was the centre of an exhibition in the Utrecht Town Hall.
